Reconnected the battery and with the help of my girlfriend tried to start it. It tried to start a few times and eventually started. It only ran for about 10 seconds but it started. We gave it another go and it ran for a bit longer but it seemed to be running really rich. After a bit of problem solving I discovered that I hadn't blocked off the extra holes in the inlet manifold, so the airflow sensor was freaking out and dumping the fuel in to compensate. All fixed now and it's running a lot better now.
