The rear piece of the loom was delivered this afternoon and I didn't waist any time getting it into the car. At first it seemed a bit much but once I had a reference point that I could start from it went in quit easily.
I started with the switch for the handbrake that sits at the rear of the handbrake lever that I hooked the loom into. Then I fed it through the hole in the rear wall over and behind the fuel tank then out the sides to the rear lights.
After I was happy with the way it looked, I called the auto electrician to make sure that I had put it in the car correctly and told me that he'd finished the front half of the loom but he was waiting for some plugs for the headlights.
I told him to send the front loom to me and to send me the plugs when they arrive, I also said that I would send him the rear loom and he could finish that for me.

I received a call this morning from the auto electrician who is building my wiring loom. He wanted to know where on the car I had put the rear lights, and rather than me give him the measurements over the phone he suggested he send me the rear half of the loom and that I dummy fit it to the car and trim the wires to the right length.
I told him that I wasn't going to put a heater unit in the car and that there would be no need to include it in the loom. He suggested that he could use that wiring for an ancillary jack and that he could install it for me while he does the rest of the wiring.

I sent the connectors to Brenton at Meridian motorsports to get spliced into the loom on Friday and I received an e-mail from Brenton today saying that he's passed them on to the auto electrician, but unfortunately it will be about 4 weeks before the loom will be delivered. Looks like I won't be doing anything on the car until then.

Well, after doing almost nothing on the car at all for the last few months. I was able to get the ball rolling on the wiring loom. I sent the connectors for the rear lights to meridian motorsports so they could splice them into the wiring loom for me. Hopefully with some luck I'll be able to start putting some wiring in the car in a week or so. This depending on weather their auto electrician has a loom already built or if he has to build one for the job.
