Since I had done all I could do with the front of the car. I thought I should work on the rear, so it was time to put the diff in and although not a particularly difficult job, it was a little time consuming as the diff is a bit heavy and I was being careful not to scratch my new paint job. With the diff, I also installed the rear suspension, trailing arms and panard rod.

Time to put more bits on the car. I decided to fit the steering rack and front suspension, and I would have to say that most of the pieces fit together quite well without having to resort to any "gentle persuasion". As there is always room for error on something like this, I have left the bolts loose as I'll have to adjust it later when I get it on the ground.

After getting the truck, I picked up the car from the spray painters this morning and they have done a fantastic job. The color almost looks like a flat green when under shade, but when it goes in the sun, the pearl in the paint really shines. As usual with these types of things, the photos don't really do the color justice, but hopefully you get the idea.

I managed to get it all home and, with the help of my brother Mathew, unloaded it and started to unwrap all the paper off it. This alone took a while but once that was done my brother had to leave. At which time I started putting little things back on that I had removed for painting. It was all going fairly well until I tried to fit the fuel cap, apparently the filler funnel they sent me doesn't allow the fuel cap I have to sit inside it even though they are both caterham products. Rather than send it back, I figured it would be quicker and easier if I just modified it myself. After a hour or so of work everything fits together nicely.
I also fitted the foam strips for the bonnet and the bonnet latches as well.
