Well, not much progress but I’ve got the replacement connectors for the indicator lights and sent back the wrong ones. I’m getting a quote for an aero screen, mirror pack and a fuel cap from Demon TweeksI also thought I’d start on a few other jobs like cutting the hole for the exhaust. I’ve made it about 5mm smaller than the template I got from Meridian motorsport, but if it turns out to be too small I can always enlarge it later.

I picked up the lights today and they look great, much better than the “trailer” lights that came with the kit. However, I think they sent me the wrong connectors for the indicators, they have a two prong male plug but they packed a three prong female plug instead. I gave Charlie a call at Genesis Automotive and he said that all the indicator packs he has on the shelves all have two prong connectors and that there must have been a stuff up with the supplier, none the less he is sending me the right connectors with a reply paid envelope to send the wrong bits back to him.

Not much progress of late. I’ve had 2 weeks off work but have had 2 weddings over the last week to go to. I’m still waiting to get my hands on a dremel from my brother so I can cut the hole for the exhaust. I have however ordered the rear break and indicator lights from genesis automotive in Western Australia. Hopefully they will be here in a few days.

Well, my engineer showed up today and was able to get the paperwork started on the car. He said it will be a month at the most before he hears anything back from Queensland transport. So, as I still haven’t ordered the extra bits I need before I get the car painted I really should keep going with a few non car related projects. I think I’ll try and get them out of the way before I get the car painted. That way they will be out of the way and I’ll be able to concentrate on the car.
